Fixed Bugs:
- Fixed a problem that when placing four “Acoustic Echo Canceller” components and a “Speech Privacy” component, the output signal was not output from the last placed “Acoustic Echo Canceller” component.
- Fixed a problem in which audio signals may not have been output from the MRX7-D by the fault of resource calculation when project compile had been executed.
- Fixed a problem in which after setting up security in the "Security Settings" dialog, the MTX-MRX Editor synchronized by [To Device], and if the PIN code was changed again in the "Security Settings" dialog and security was set after using off-line, the MTX-MRX Editor could not synchronize by [To Device].
- Fixed a problem in which the link master of the parameter link group of MRX7-D could not control the DCP to connect the MTX.
- Fixed a problem in which if the following components were directly connected with I/O ports which are within and without User Defined Block, audio signals would not flow:
- Each of the components, "MY4-AEC(IN)," "MY4-AEC," and "MY4-AEC(OUT)," when MY4-AEC was set to SLOT
The “Dugan Automixer” component
The “Room Combiner plus Automixer” component
- Fixed a problem in which if deletion was canceled by the [Undo] command after deleting the "Room Combiner" component or the "Room Combiner plus Automixer" component, the information on the room was deleted.

- Fixed a problem in which the device name of MRX7-D was changed after creating a parameter link group, the MTX-MRX Editor was forced to terminate.
- Fixed a problem in which change was canceled by [Undo] after changing the maximum delay amount of the "Delay" component by "Form" in the "Properties" area, the MTX-MRX Editor was forced to terminate.
- Fixed a problem in which after cutting a parameter in the "Remote Control Setup List" dialog, [Insert Cut Data] is performed with a number more recent than the cut number, and the numbers overlapped, and if the [OK] button was clicked, the parameter inserted by [Insert Cut Data] was deleted.
- Fixed a problem in which User Defined Block was copied/pasted, the size of the pasted User Defined Block became large.

MRX7-D V2.11

Fixed bug:
- Fixed a problem in which two or more Acoustic Echo Canceller (AEC) were placed, if audio signals were inputted from components which were different in one AEC, the sound might surge or might not be outputted.

MTX5-D V2.11 / MTX3 V2.11 / Exi8 V2.11 / EXo8 V2.11 / XMV V2.11

- No change in this version, but firmware version number is updated to match other devices.

Installation steps:

1. Decompressing the downloaded file
2. Install the MTX Editor
3. Install the Dante Firmware Update Manager (for Dante)
4. Computer TCP/IP setting (for Dante)
5. Updating the Dante firmware
6. Computer TCP/IP setting (for device main)
7. Updating the device main firmware

Updating the Dante Firmware

1. Turn on the power to the device.
2. Run the Dante Firmware Update Manager with administrator privileges. If you're using Windows 7, click [Start]->[All Programs]->[Audinate]->[Dante Firmware Update Manager], then right-click [Dante Firmware Update Manager] and choose [Run as administrator].
If you're using Windows 8/8.1, go to the "Start" screen -> ([All apps]), then right-click [Dante Firmware Update Manager], and choose [Run as administrator] from the choices that appear at the bottom of the screen. Check that the version number is 1.4.5 or higher from the title bar.
- The "User Account Control" dialog box may appear. Click [Continue] or [Yes].
3. If you see the interface selection screen, select the interface card to connect the Dante device.
4. Click [Update Dante Firmware].
5. Click [Browse] and select “FWUpdate_MTX5-D_vyyy_swzzz.dnt” in case of MTX5-D or “FWUpdate_XMVxxxx-D_vyyy_swzzz.dnt” in case of XMV of Dante model. Then click [Open]. yyy and zzz represent the firmware version number.
- The Dante firmware does not operate normally if its path contains any multi-byte character (including Japanese characters). If you use a directory name containing any multi-byte character in your computer, store the firmware update files in a directory that consists only of ASCII characters (e.g. C:\temp).
- Be sure to ensure compatibility of the update files with device. If update files other than device are applied, the device will become inoperable. In general, do not check the [Override Device Matching] option. If this option is left unchecked, only devices that support the file can be selected, ensuring that updating the device with invalid or wrong files is prevented.
6. Click [Next].
- In some cases, Windows firewall may block MTX Editor when you make this setting. Select the [Private Network] check box, and click [Allow Access].
7. Check the device to update. Check the version of the update files and the version number indicated in the device line.
- If the device is not indicated, click [Refresh]. If it is still not indicated after that, the computer and the device are not connected properly. Check that the cable is not loose or disconnected, TCP/IP is properly configured. We recommend that you also verify that the device is shown in Dante Controller.
8. Click [Start]. The update operation will begin. “Updating(n/m)” appears in the Status field during updating. “Done” is displayed once update is completed.
- Update takes 2 to 4 minutes. During the update operation, do not turn off the power to the device or disconnect the cable. If update fails due to disconnection of the power cable during the update, or due to other reasons, the device may become inoperative.
・If update is not completed after 5 minutes, or update failure indication appears, click X at the upper right corner of Dante Firmware Update Manager to exit the program without turning the device power off, and restart the procedure from the step 4.

Updating the device main firmware

1. Turn off the power to the device.
2. Set DIP switches 7 and 8 (on the XMV, Devi ce setup DIP switch) to the upward (OFF) position, and then turn on the power.
3. If the device main firmware for a device connected to MTX Editor is not compatible, an "Alert" dialog box will appear. Click [Update Now] or [OK]. If you click [Update Now], skip to step 5. If you click [OK], proceed to step 4.
4. In MTX Editor, choose [System] menu - - > [Device Information]. The “Device Information” dialog box will appear.
5. Click [Update Firmware]. The “Update Firmware” dialog box will appear. If the "Select Folder" dialog box opens, select a folder that contains the update file, then click [OK].
6. Specify the folder that contains the firmware. To specify a different folder, click [...].
7. Click [Update] to execute the update. During the update, the indicators of the devices will flash. When the update is completed, the indicators will light, and the devices will restart automatically.
- Do not turn off the power of the devices while the indicators of the devices are flashing.
- If the [ALERT] indicator of an applicable device is flashing, an error has occurred and the update has failed. The front panel [PRESET] display indicates the alert number; refer to the alert list in the MTX Editor User's Manual and take the appropriate action.
8. When the update has completed and all devices have restarted automatically, close the "Device Information" dialog box. When the update has completed successfully, and the devices have restarted, the devices will reappear in MTX Editor's Project screen.
9. If "Requires Initialization" appears in the Status field, iitialize the specified device. To start initialization, set DIP switch 7 to the down position and DIP switch 8 to the up position (on the XMV, Device setup DIP switches 7 and 8), then restart the device. For more information, refer to the User's Manual for the corresponding device.

About Firmware Update:

Applying a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your unit can bring various enhancements, include workarounds for diverse problems encountered by the device, and improve or add newly developed features.

On the other hand, downgrading the firmware version can recover the device’s functionality in the event of a software update either turning up faulty or causing the unit’s overall performance to drop. However, bear in mind that applying an older firmware isn’t recommended and might not always be possible.

When it comes to the update steps, due to the large variety of devices and numerous ways for installing a new firmware, it is recommended that you carefully read and understand the upgrade steps, and consider applying a different firmware only when you have familiarized yourself with the update method.

As the installation process is most of the times quite risky, this step should be taken by users that have the ability to successfully complete the update; regular users may initiate it at their own risk. Moreover, it’s best that this task be performed in a steady power environment such as the one ensured by a UPS unit.

Therefore, if you consider applying this release, hit the download button, take into account all the aforementioned aspects, and update the device’s firmware. Also make sure you constantly check with our website to ensure that you don’t miss a single new release.
